Tepid goings on in Brooklyn Heights
While ‘Pineapple Street’ is an engaging and easy read, the whole theme of a WASPy old money Brookyn Height family and their travails comes off as a bit forced. Names of renowned and not so renowned Brooklyn establishments are thrown around with abandon and minimal context. And the life events confronting everyone come off as ‘Dynasty’ like. Enjoyable for what it is.
A joy to read
Sometimes one needs a heart warming read for pure enjoyment. For me, Pineapple Street filled the bill!
No Preservation Order necessary
On balance, a waste of time. All of the characters are stereotypes, none likable. No plot, just an old money family living their privilege. Boring in the extreme.
